A thematic workshop will be held during the JASM titled “Des services de qualité en santé mentale pour les populations éloignées – Partageons nos défis et nos bons coups (Quality mental health services for remote populations – Sharing our challenges and achievements). The purpose of this workshop is to draw a portrait of service organization in remote and isolated regions of Quebec, and to promote exchanges between various stakeholders from those regions regarding the organization of mental health services specifically adapted to their contexts. A poster illustrating the first results stemming from the Trajectoires project’s care quality indicators was presented at the JASM, which took place May 14-16, 2012. The title of this poster was: “Des indicateurs sur mesure pour mieux comprendre les soins de santé et services offerts aux personnes ayant des problèmes de santé mentale et vivant en région isolée” (Customized indicators to improve the understanding of health care and services provided to people with mental health problems living in isolated regions). A videoconference was held in April 2012 that involved the participation of Trajectoires researchers and La Romaine stakeholders. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the overall profile of service users with mental health problems, and the community’s specific care quality indicators.
